Obtain a Construction Skills card for labourerers, we also offer training for trades qualified who just require an update or new card.

CSCS is the leading certification card scheme for construction in the UK. It is the recognised way for workers to prove their awareness of Health & Safety in the sector.
Obtaining a CSCS card requires candidates to pass a "touch screen" test based on their knowledge of Health & Safety.
CEIS Ayrshire provides a training session to prepare candidates to get to test standard. A study book will also be issued to each person prior to the training session to allow them to prepare. Candidates will also be given mock tests before sitting the actual test.
In 2014 CITB introduced the requirement for the Labourer Card (replacing the General Operative Card), which includes the requirement for candidates to have a separate Health & Safety qualification before they can obtain their card.
CEIS Ayrshire includes the SQA Unit, Health and Safety in a Construction Environment (SCQF Level 4) as part of this course which meets this requirement and allows candidates to apply for their card.
Successful candidates will receive an SQA Certificate, a pass certificate for CSCS and the appropriate card.
Entry Requirements: No formal qualifications required to attend this course.
Other Requirements: Candidates must be able to produce photographic ID. If not shown on the day they will not be permitted entry. A waiver form can be signed in place of photographic ID. This needs to be previously agreed, contact CEIS Ayrshire for details.
Duration: 2 – 4 days training.
Location: Irvine, Dumfries
