Do you want to train with skills that will ensure that you can develop a career wherever you want?  The apprenticeship is challenging, with a lot of new learning that won’t ever have been covered in School or College.  It will stretch you, so you need to have a hard working attitude, and be committed to learning.   This Modern Apprenticeship will equip learners with a skillset to progress in digital marketing careers. Apprentices will be able to actively use their skills and knowledge across multiple digital platforms and channels including web, email, social and video. They will learn how to create a digital strategy that enables organisations to lead and keep a pace of global trends and most importantly; drive sales.  The Digital Marketing Apprenticeship combines both work based learning and experience with intensive instructor led training courses to help build and develop careers and support businesses. 

 

The Digital Marketing Apprenticeship at SCQF level 6 will give you the knowledge to become an integral part of a company’s marketing workforce, giving you skills such as:

    • Social Media

    • Search Engine Optimisation

    • Marketing Strategy

    • Email Marketing

    • Wordpress

    • Design through Photoshop

    • Pay Per Click Campaigns

    • HTML5 & CSS3

    • Google Adwords

 

You will do the majority of your training online, using video conferencing and online tools.  There will be occasional residential weeks.

 

You will need the following

    • An ability to stick and work through challenging tasks

    • A strong desire to build a career in the new and digital industries

    • Commitment

    • A high level of online competency

    • An interest in business and marketing

 

This is an apprenticeship position, for applicants between the ages of 16-19, based in our offices at Stranraer.  Due to the amount of training involved, this position is not suitable for flexible working.  The position is 25 hours a week, with approximately 1/3 of the time being made available to undertake training and learning.  Applicants should view this position as a 1 year and an investment in their career, and opportunity to learn and qualify in highly desirable skills market which Stranraer and the surrounding areas lacks qualified and knowledgeable people in – and skills sought after in the 21st Century economy and jobplace.
